The Reform UK leader Accuses Educators of ‘Indoctrinating Children’ on Racial Topics

The political figure stated that educators would initiate walkouts within weeks a Reform UK election victory, charging that they are “harming young minds” by instructing students that African-Caribbean youth are oppressed and Caucasian students are perpetrators.

At a gathering for a Michigan-based religious institution, Farage outlined his viewpoint on the UK education system, stating that the “radical left-wing” had “taken over schooling”.

“I’m anticipating a teachers’ strike very quickly after securing a victory,” Farage commented during a Q&A session.

“They are corrupting young minds. They are telling them to be ashamed of their country. They are telling an eight-year-old black child that he is oppressed and a white child of the same age that he is a perpetrator. They create division, not uniting us. They are feeding this negative culture.”

Reacting to Farage’s claims, the head of a major education union rejected the notion that the education system was controlled by Marxists as “absurd”. He pointed out that any strikes must relate to teachers’ terms and conditions, and doubted whether Reform would attack these immediately upon entering government.

“The politician has crafted his public life on coded rhetoric and now, like Trump, he is targeting educators and their unions for a conflict,” the union leader said.

“This is highly reckless. I don’t – and nor does my union – push critical race theory as he claims … If he were to lead the government he would sell out our public services, including education … and he would be a disaster for students and learning.”

The party, which tops surveys by a significant margin, has provided limited specifics on a proposed education policy and does not appear to have appointed an education spokesperson.

Nonetheless, his comments indicated the party would overhaul the educational framework. Farage declared: “We face an enormous task with education – truly monumental. Moreover, it won’t happen quickly; it requires years, years to turn this around.”

He stated that younger generations are receptive to critical thinking, but millennials were “absolutely hopeless”.

Paying tribute to a conservative activist, Farage said: “My goal for schooling is to foster independent thought – to educate individuals that there are two points of view and they should decide for themselves as opposed to current practices where views are labeled good or bad. This is a huge undertaking in the UK and US.”

Reform has previously clashed with a major educators’ organization, after the union leader labeled them “extremist and prejudiced” and dismissed Farage as “a cheap imitation”.

The politician has charged the union head with being “a self-declared Marxist” … someone who is absolutely determined that young minds be corrupted through education, their minds should be poisoned about everything to do with this country” and maintained that the organization seeks to brainwash teenagers against Reform.

Almost one million people are employed in education in the UK, about half of whom are teachers and the remainder being assistants and administrative personnel. The major education union has about 450,000 members.

Countrywide walkouts over educators’ salaries and work environment in recent years led to significant interruptions in schools and extensive missed instruction for children.

During the American gathering, the Reform leader also vowed to promote the digital courses of the institution in the UK. He stated organizations like it were “part of the fightback”, adding that: “I mean this. I will help garner hundreds of thousands, if not millions of youth to these educational programs. I pledge this tonight and I will follow through.”

The college, a small private Christian college, offers free courses. According to its online description: “Comprehensive learning is necessary for personal happiness and to maintain the benefits of civil and religious liberty. The college furnishes these beautiful courses for free to every interested learner.”
